Mental Health Partners has a Human Rights Committee (HRC) to manage the operations that involve client rights issues. The
HRC is charged with ensuring the protection of client rights for all clients served by providers in the MHP service area. The
HRC is made up of volunteers who donate their time and energy to make certain that client rights are upheld. Members are from different disability groups and ages and work together.
HRC members are appointed by the MHP Board.
The responsibilities of HRC are to:
Oversee compliance with North Carolina client rights and confidentiality laws; and
Oversee procedures established for processing grievances, alleged violations of rights, and concerns about restrictive treatment and access to services.
